Don't fall for the trap!
How many times have you heard "We need to replace everything in the system to make it
work." Or,
"We don't know anything about this system, we will need to replace everything with our equipment."
And, when they say everything, they mean everything! Next thing you know, they're ripping Stations out of the walls,
tearing Diverters out of the ceilings. Removing APU's, Air Shifters and Blowers. Sometimes, even the pipe. Now, you need to
deal with added Infection Control, OSPD, OSHA, Structural Engineering, and more. Now the cost of your new System keeps going
higher and higher. All this to put the same types of equipment back into the same
places.
All of this is completely unneccesary. No one, in their right mind, goes out
and buys a new car if they get a flat tire or need a tune-up!
It gets repaired. Now you're back on the road.
The same thing applies
to Pneumatic Tube Systems. Chances are, your system hasn't been touched, mechanically, since two years after it was installed.
Now it's been gradually deteriorating to the point of barely working at all. Dead or improperly adjusted switches or sensors,
bad motors or bound linkages, Diverters and Air Shifters leaking air. Weak Blowers or pipe leaks throughout the System.
These simple overlooked problems can contribute to the demise of one of the most neccessary systems in a Modern Hospital.
The Computer and Program may work fine, but it will not see a Diverter or Slidegate Position switch if it's broken. The Carriage
won't move if the motor linkage is bound up. A bad sensor will not see a Carrier arrival or departure. Carriers and will land
hard and break if the Station seals are gone.
All of this can be done without the need of infection barriers, or closing off areas because
of a large hole in the wall. Station parts and Motor Plates can be swapped out on site within minutes, with complete refurbished
Plates already finished. A simple "Pop-Up" to repair the Diverters in the ceilings and corridors. APU's, Blowers
and Air Shifters are normally off in a Mechanical room, away from the main areas of the Hospital, and can be dealt with all
at once, or Zone by Zone.

Transport Plates for repair and/or adjustment.
